Community College Leadership

Are you interested in pursuing a leadership role at a community college? If so, the Community College Leadership Certificate (CCLC) will prepare you to do just that! Individuals who are in, or aspire to, an instructional leadership appointment or a senior administrative position will find this program enhances their personal and professional advancement.

Higher Education/Community Colleges

Student success in higher education doesn’t happen by accident. In addition to robust curricula, excellent faculty, and a solid infrastructure, it takes effective administrative leadership. The University of Nebraska-Lincoln Master of Arts (M.A.) in educational administration offers students the opportunity to grow their leadership and administrative skills through a rigorous, entirely online degree.

Student Affairs Administration

College students today, the subjects they learn, and the learning environment are continually changing. Student affairs professionals must not only be familiar with promising practices for supporting students today, but they must be prepared to visualize the future and create programs, services, and policies for that evolving reality. The Master of Arts (MA) in educational administration with a specialization in student affairs administration offers students the opportunity to grow their understanding of various student experiences and be the future leaders of the profession.

P-12 School Leadership

The challenges for school leaders have never been greater. No longer are principals expected to simply manage budgets and student behavior. Today’s building-level leaders are at the forefront of school leadership and everything that comes with it, from improving instruction and student learning, to providing optimal learning environments for teachers, students, and staff, and ensuring a safe, welcoming culture and climate for all. For us, the principal is the decisive element in the building.

Early Childhood and Family Policy

Students in this program will:

  1. Evaluate equity and effectiveness of early childhood and family policy using theory and a variety of tools.
  2. Propose and advocate for equitable and effective early childhood and family policy.
  3. Communicate with a wide range of stakeholders (e.g., policymakers, researchers, educators, and advocates) using varied formats (e.g., multimedia presentations, written reports, and oral presentations).

You’ll learn about the various dimensions of school leadership and how to apply your skills in an authentic Catholic school setting.
