Skilled and Technical Sciences Education Transfer to UNL
Northeast Community College has partnered with the University of Nebraska-Lincoln to offer a transfer program for students interested in becoming a skilled and technical sciences (STS) high school teacher. Students who meet entry requirements in the STS Teaching Option will have completed a variety of course work from Northeast Community College.
Education Paraprofessionals
Education paraprofessionals perform duties that are instructional in nature or deliver direct services to students or parents. Paraprofessionals serve in positions for which a teacher or another professional has ultimate responsibility for the design and implementation of educational programs and services. Substitute teaching opportunities may also be available.
Education - Secondary
To become a secondary teacher, you may complete a two-year liberal arts program at Northeast and then transfer credits to a four-year college offering the bachelor's degree in teacher education. We work closely with many area schools to insure a seamless transfer.

Early Childhood Education
Working with children and infants is a challenging career with great rewards. Our program will prepare you to work in child care centers, preschool settings, Head Start, before-and-after-school programs, family home care, and as classroom aides and nannies. You will learn in real childcare settings from experienced professionals. We also have an active student organization and have helped in providing child care activities during special events.
