UNO's Special Education and Communication Disorders department has online graduate programs designed to prepare educators to work with and advocate for students with a wide range of disabilities and challenges. Specifically, our programs focus on high-incidence disabilities such as learning disabilities (dyslexia) and behavioral and emotional disorders.

Designed for those teaching young people in secondary schools across a variety of curricular areas, our Secondary Education program offers an integrated approach to developing the skills and dispositions needed for today’s educational environments. Doane launched its Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction program more than 40 years ago, based on input from teachers and school districts. We continuously advance the program, and include the same crucial input.
