The B.A. in art requires an exposure to two-dimensional and three-dimensional media and art history. It can lead to graduate study in art, art history, art therapy or other academic or professional areas.
Secondary education is not a major; it is used in conjunction with a major to become certified to teach. Always consult with advisor in Education Department, as state requirements may change.
This degree program is geared for the person who wishes to teach theatre arts in a secondary school where the focus of teaching responsibilities is primarily theatre classes. Different than a language arts education degree, this program can lead to a supplemental endorsement in secondary theatre education when combined with a primary area endorsement.
Admission into the Education Department and additional Education Departmental coursework is required. This subject endorsement is designed to prepare students for the teaching profession in Physical Education. With the addition of approximately 37 hours of education requirements, the student will be eligible for a Nebraska Teaching Certificate.
