Early Childhood Education
Working with children is a worthwhile and gratifying career where each day is different and you’re always on the move, playing a crucial role in shaping the social, cognitive, and emotional development of the children under your care.
The Early Childhood Education program is for Education majors who want to work with young children, birth through eight years old. You will master the skills needed to be a confident and effective teacher or director, creating positive and encouraging influences for children through meaningful curriculum, interactions, and observation. You will discern how to make learning accessible by creating vibrant, interactive environments that are supportive and respectful.

Music Education
With the power of learning how to play an instrument, sing a new song, or create an original tune, music has been shown to improve learning skills, relieve stress, and heighten language development skills. Teaching children this important subject brings its own set of challenges and rewards.
WNCC’s Music Education program is located at our Scottsbluff Campus. Our program provides you with the philosophies, current and traditional practices, and foundational knowledge needed for the first two years toward achieving a bachelor’s degree in Music Education at a four-year institution.

Human Relations in Education
This course equips educators across all teaching contexts—from K-12 classrooms to skilled trades shops to health sciences programs—with practical skills for recognizing bias, promoting pluralism, and fostering dignity in a variety of learning environments. You'll engage with real scenarios, reflect on your own teaching practice, and complete a final Project tailored to your specific teaching context—whether that's redesigning curriculum materials, developing professional training for colleagues, creating strategies for fostering inclusive classroom culture, or imagining "service learning" opportunities and increasing community engagement.
